About Lotus$

What Lotus$ are not

• Lotus$ are not U.S. dollars, cash, or money of any kind.
• They have no cash value and can't be cashed out, refunded for cash, or exchanged for money.
• They are not a gift card, a prepaid card, a bank deposit, an investment, or a security.
• They can't be sold, bought from or transferred to anyone outside the Exchange, except as the Rules allow.
• We don't show a dollar value for Lotus$, and a member's balance is not money owed to them.

How they work

• Your balance and every trade are recorded on the member Ledger.
• Taxes may apply to the trades you make. Talk to your tax advisor.
• If an account closes, its Lotus$ end as the Rules describe.

Not enabled yet

• Using Lotus$ toward nights at select Lotustay homes. When it's turned on, taxes and fees are paid in U.S. dollars, and limits apply.
• Earning Lotus$ for quiet time in the Lotustay Garden.
• Give (Lotus$ for nonprofits).
